Press Release: Passage of CEDAW Resolution in City of Durham

The Durham City Council passed a resolution endorsing the Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) unanimously on August 6, 2018 in their general meeting.

“The City of Durham is dedicated to ensuring that women and girls can thrive here in our community. The passage of this CEDAW resolution, as well as the creation of the Mayor’s Council for Women earlier this year, is moving our city toward a more gender equitable future,” Mayor Pro Tempore Jillian Johnson said.
