Jane M. Gleason, Ph. D.

Jane is a Professor in the Department of Education at Meredith College with special interests in early childhood mathematics interventions and the recruitment, preparation and retention of highly qualified teachers. Particular women’s issues that are important to Jane include mental health care and pay equity.

Stephanie Scotti
Ms. Scotti is a high-profile public speaking coach whose clientele includes global business leaders and presidential Cabinet members. She has been named a winner of the 2016 Enterprising Women of the Year. She provides her expertise pro bono for WomenNC’s CSW fellows, preparing them to speak for the Annual Fundraising Event in February in Durham, their UN presentation, and the Reflection Symposium at Duke University.

Brooke Wheeler-Jones
A native North Carolinian, Brooke graduated from North Carolina State University with both a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and later a Master’s Degree in Social Work. Brooke works as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has provided services at Interact, the National Center for Child Traumatic Stress and UNC. In order to find balance, Brooke also enjoys exercise and spending time with her husband, daughter, and pitbull.

Danielle Braxton

Danielle joined WomenNC in 2016 and currently serves on the CSW Fellowship Committee. She cares deeply about gender equality issues and is especially interested in working on projects that concern minority women. She enjoys teaching and mentoring and during her free time you can find her running on one of Wake County’s many scenic greenways. Danielle earned a BS in biological sciences from North Carolina State University and two graduate degrees—MPH and PhD—in public health nutrition from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Maureen Rooney

Maureen joined WomenNC in 2014 and is serving her second year as a Board of Directors member. She is currently a peer advisory board and coaching professional for small business owners. Maureen has previously volunteered in women’s support organizations such as Dress for Success and InterAct. She received her B.S. in Business Administration from Miami University and a MBA in Finance from Loyala University. Maureen has over thirty years of experience as a marketing and sales leader in Fortune 100 companies. Maureen is married and has lived in Raleigh since 2006.
