We cordially invite our community to WomenNC’s sixth annual “Local-to-Global” community forum, featuring a record seven NC university students selected as our 2015 Fellows. These exceptional students will represent North Carolina at the United Nations’ 59th Annual “Commission on the Status of Women” (CSW), March 8-15, 2015, in New York.
Following a delicious catered dinner, the 2015 Fellows will highlight their research findings and “best-practice” community partner solutions, as they pertain to the “…Beijing +20 Platform for Action” – Reflecting on Two Decades of Progress and Challenges on the Status of Women, in NC and Globally. (see Fellows’ topics) We’ll also share an update on WomenNC’s efforts in the Cities for CEDAW* campaign.
