WomenNC Presents at CSW TODAY, March 11th!
WomenNC 2015 Fellows proudly represent North Carolina while participating at the United Nations 59th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York the week of March 8th, joining over eight thousand women, men, and girls from over 190 countries to review the status of women 20 years after the Beijing 4th World Conference on Women in 1995.

- March 11th, 2:30-4:00pm – WomenNC 2015 Fellows present their research on the status of women in North Carolina, at the Church Center of the United Nations, 10th Floor.

WomenNC Celebrates Women’s History Month
In honor of the world’s 6th annual recognition Women’s History Month in the month of March, WomenNC invites you to make a donation in “honor of a woman” who you admire or has made an impact on your life. WomenNC’s Honor Roll is a great opportunity for you to recognize the inspirational women in your life while celebrating Women’s History Month this March. When you make a donation, WomenNC will post the woman you are honoring on our website and the contribution is fully tax-deductible.
Film Screening – Tuesday, March 24th
WomenNC invites you to the North Carolina Chapter of UN Women’s film screening of I Am a Girl. The film follows six girls from different areas around the world, where women are undervalued, and highlights their journey to achieve recognition in society and to pursue their goals.
The screening will be held as part of the Africana Studies Program African Diaspora Film Series on March 24th from 6 to 8:30pm, at the Cameron Village Regional Library, 2nd Floor, Raleigh, NC. See the Film Flier for more details.
Save the Date – Thursday, April 9th
WomenNC 2015 Fellows will bring their global experiences from CSW back to North Carolina, presenting their reflections of the conference to our community at the 6th Annual a WomenNC CSW Reflections Symposium, held at UNC-Chapel Hill’s FedEx Global Education Center on April 9th. More information on this event is coming soon.
