RALEIGH: As WomenNC celebrates its tenth year as an organization, Beth Dehghan announces her retirement as executive director and president, and the organization announces Mary Thompson as interim executive director. Beth Dehghan has led the organization since its founding in 2009.
“In the past 10 years, I am extremely proud of what we accomplished in raising a generation that honors women’s human rights. I want to give my deepest gratitude to all who have been supportive of the organization: volunteers, board members, our university partners, affiliates, and supporters. Without you, the organization would not be as strong and vibrant as it is. I am so honored to have been the leader of this incredible organization and will watch with much excitement and anticipation as it makes strides in training young leaders and advocating for the status of women of NC communities.” – Founder of WomenNC, Beth Deghan.
WomenNC is excited to announce Mary Thompson of Raleigh as the interim executive director of the organization.
