Call for WomenNC Interns!

August 17, 2023

WomenNC Internship offers outstanding students the opportunity to acquire direct exposure working with a nonprofit and gaining experience in the nonprofit world. Interns will get the opportunity to collaborate in areas such as marketing & social media, partnership building, communications, advocacy, evaluation, human resources, program planning, fundraising, and staying up to date on the latest feminist news.

Internship assignments vary greatly in terms of content but are all designed to provide interns with a valuable learning experience. Interns will get the opportunity to attend and contribute during board and committee meetings. Most interns support the design, implementation and evaluation of WomenNC projects and will learn about the work of gender action in North Carolina, the U.S. and international environment.

  • Remote/virtual internship, but may be asked to help with any potential in-person event within the Triangle, NC (rare)
  • Must be 18 years or older and attending college/university
  • May count towards university internship credits depending on university/class enrollment
  • Internship range from a minimum of 4 months, according to the availability and academic requirements of the intern, as well as the needs of WomenNC.

We welcome applications from all backgrounds and study profiles. Good to have Women & Gender Study course knowledge. Applicants should also be able to demonstrate timeliness, professionalism, respect for diversity, and integrity.
