Meet Vicki Smith! She is the Executive Director of the Alliance of Disability Advocates. This is a non-profit that advocates for those with disabilities. Vicki stands for equal rights, including the ability for those with disabilities to live independently in the communities they serve.
Alliance of Disability Advocates works with people with mental health issues to help them live independently.
Vicki wants to acknowledge that women are often secondary beneficiaries of Alliance of Disability Advocates' services since women are very often caretakers of people with disabilities, including their own children.
